Tommotek develops and sells leading automation products for the sign making, woodworking and metal working industries. We design and manufacture Tekcel computer controlled flatbed routers, TekMOV CNC control systems and sell Cadlink CAD CAM software. These products are at the forefront of manufacturing technology, harnessing the 'brains' of the microprocessor and the 'brawn' of the mechanical world to create intelligent machinery for fast, efficient, economical production. Tommotek is a highly motivated, dedicated team, who are skilled in electronics design, software programming, mechanical engineering, production, marketing and administration. Ancient History
Tommotek began in 1983, designing and building of special purpose production machinery.
With the arrival of personal computers in the mid eighties, Tommotek began developing a program to use this desktop power to control machinery. Tommotek designed and built a motion controller which was used to retrofit to old engraving, vinyl cutting, and routering machines to allow them to use the new found power of the desktop. Soon after, the first 'Tekcel' routing machine was designed and built, and introduced to the sign industry.
Our machine controllers have been installed in many factories in Australia, United Kingdom, Brazil, South Africa, New Zealand, Asia and many countries around the world.
